How Meditation Has Helped Me Sleep

If you would have asked me a year ago if I would be meditating in a year, I would have laughed in your face.

“Me….meditating? I don’t think so. That isn’t for me.”

But in the throes of the pandemic that has been ongoing for the last year+ I admit that I have turned to meditating more and more.

It all started last year when I found myself struggling to sleep more than usual. Now don’t get me wrong, I have had a hard time sleeping for most of my life. But in the midst of the pandemic it finally all came to a head. I was spending hours upon hours laying in bed, staring at the ceiling. I could not get my mind to turn off.

It all finally caught up to me.

I didn’t know where to turn. So after talking with a few trusted friends, I turned to meditation.

I started meditating at night. Because I figured sleeping was my biggest problem, so I should probably start there. So I put in my headphones and downloaded the Insight Timer app, and started…
