Vulnerabilities are what make us human

Even though they are hard to talk about.

I am self conscious.

I am a little heavier than I would like to be. My laugh is a little too loud. I am clingy with certain people. Sometimes I am needy. I have terrible anxiety.

These are some of my vulnerabilities that I don’t like talking about with others.

Did you find yourself nodding along while I was speaking of myself? Do you have any of the same vulnerabilities? Maybe some of yours are different than mine.

Maybe you have a big nose.

Maybe your eyebrows grow together.

Maybe you are depressed a lot.

Maybe you push people away.

Whatever your vulnerabilities may be, they are honestly what make you more human to those around you. You don’t have to look very far to find a person that has vulnerabilities. Everyone has them. Everyone.

But most people are too ashamed to talk about them.

Which makes it hard to admit them. But if you can find the courage to talk about them, you can make more connections with people. You can find out their vulnerabilities and that will make them more human to you. Sharing really is caring when it comes to making people feel more…
